GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Phoenix Coyotes have claimed Paul Bissonnette off waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The 24-year-old forward appeared in 15 games with Pittsburgh last season, with one assist and 15 penalty minutes. He played in 57 games for Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins' affiliate in the American Hockey League.
The Coyotes also signed forward Matt Watkins to an entry level contract. Terms weren't disclosed. Watkins, who recently completed his senior season at the University of North Dakota, has been assigned to Phoenix's AHL affiliate in San Antonio.
