TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama softball team dominated Texas to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals.

The No. 3 Crimson Tide (50-9) turned an NCAA record five double plays and slugged two home runs to beat the Longhorns (40-20) 7-0 in the championship game Sunday at the Alabama Softball Complex.

Alabama won its fifth regional title in a row.

The Tide will play in-state rival Jacksonville State.

The Gamecocks (42-15) advanced to the round of 16 by winning three games Sunday, including two over Tennessee at the Knoxville Regional.

JSU will travel to Tuscaloosa for a best-of-three series. The NCAA will announced the dates and time.
