LAKE FOREST, ILL. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears signed linebacker Gilbert Gardner and placed running back and special teams player Garrett Wolfe on injured reserve Friday with a pulled hamstring.
Gardner appeared in two games with Detroit before being released Oct. 25. A third-round pick by Indianapolis in 2004, he made 97 tackles in three seasons with the Colts and had 15 special teams tackles in 13 games with the Titans last year.
Wolfe is in his second year in the NFL after being drafted out of Northern Illinois University. He appeared in 13 games and was leading the Bears with 21 special teams tackles. He also ran for 69 yards on 15 attempts.
