Dustin Johnson became the first American to go 3-0 in Ryder Cup play since Phil Mickelson in 1995, but Europe stormed from behind to retain the Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club.  With a commanding 10-6 lead heading into singles play, Johnson was one of only three Americans to win a singles match as Europe topped the US 14 1/2 to 13 1/2.

Johnson scored a 3 and 2 victory over Nicolas Colsaerts.  The former Myrtle Beach resident and Coastal Carolina All-American started out with a birdie on the first hole and never trailed in the match.  Johnson and Colsarets were all square through 13 holes, but Dustin won the next three holes to put the match away.

Johnson delivered one of the most memorable highlights of the 2012 Ryder Cup on Saturday afternoon playing with Matt Kuchar in a match against Colsaerts and Paul Lawrie.  On the 17th hole, Dustin delivered a long birdie putt to propel the duo to a win.  At that point, the US had a 10-4 lead on Europe.
