Former Hartsville Red Foxes star Jordan Lyles was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make his first major league start of 2012 for the Houston Astros. The 6'4" right-hander pitched six innings, allowed just four hits, three runs, three walks and struck out five against the Cincinnati Reds. Lyles left the game with a 5-3 lead, but did not get a decision. The Reds came back to beat the Astros 6-5 on Sunday.

Following the contest, the Astros optioned Lyles back to Oklahoma City, to make room for Infielder Marwin Gonzalez who was reinstated from the paternity list and will rejoin the club in Houston on Monday.
