Former Lamar High star John Abraham, a Timmonsville native, made five tackles, including two sacks for the Atlanta Falcons, in a 23-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Ex-Marlboro County High defensive standout Robert Ayers made two tackles for the Denver Broncos in a 30-23 victory over the San Diego Chargers.

Detroit Lions linebacker Justin Durant, who played high school ball at Wilson High in Florence, made five tackles, in a 24-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Two Coastal Carolina grads were in the box score for the Carolina Panthers, in a 27-21 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Josh Norman made four tackles. Mike Tolbert caught two passes for 14 yards.

2003 WPDE Zoneman winner Lawrence Timmons of the Pittsburgh Steelers made nine tackles in a 13-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The former Wilson High star has 59 tackles this season.
