#22 Bethune-Cookman (9-2) will host Coastal Carolina (7-4) in the first round of the FCS Playoffs on Saturday, November 24 at 2 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Coastal Carolina shared the Big South Conference championship with Stony Brook and Liberty. CCU earned an automatic berth in the post season by winning a tie-breaker for most conference road victories.

CCU enters the 20 team FCS tournament on a five game winning streak. The Chanticleers are 13-1 lifetime against schools out of the MEAC.

Quarterback Aramis Hillary has guided Coastal's explosive offense, averaging 42 points a contest. On defense, sophomore linebacker Quinn Backus set a school record for tackles in a single season with 123, and was named Big South Conference defensive player of the year.

The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats have won seven straight games. They won the MEAC championship by going undefeated in league play.

The Wildcats are ranked fifth in the nation in total defense, and third in the country in turnover margin. On offense, Bethune has the tenth best rushing offense among FCS schools.

Coastal and Bethune have one common opponent. Both schools beat North Carolina A&T by 16 points in the regular season.

This marks Coastal's third trip to the playoffs. They are 0-2 lifetime, and are 0-3 against ranked opponents this season.

The winner will face #4 seed Old Dominion in round two of the playoffs on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m.
