Carolina Forest's Erich Knab spent the day with his family sitting around the computer hoping to see his name in the first 15 rounds of the MLB Amateur Draft. Shortly after 7pm, Knab saw a lifelong dream come true. The right handed pitcher was the #400 overall pick in the 13th round going to the Minnesota Twins.
Knab was 2-2 with a 1.87 ERA in his senior season with the Panthers striking out 46 batters and walking just 9, earning class 4A All-State honors. He's set to play college baseball at Spartanburg Methodist, but he'll now have to decide between college baseball and immediately entering the Twins organization. Knab says he'll talk with his advisor and family before making a final decision.
