The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Ball State Cardinals 10-0 at Carolina Stadium in Columbia on Tuesday. Former St. James High standout Tanner English had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Gamecocks, who improve to 9-2.

The Furman Paladins beat the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 4-1 at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night. CCU's record drops to 4-7 on the season.
