(AP) -- CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson running back Andre Ellington has undergone surgery to remove scar tissue from his ankle. The school said Thursday the operation had been planned for some time. Ellington won't play in the team's spring game Saturday, although he is expected to be ready for summer workouts and the regular season.  Ellington entered the 2011 season after undergoing toe surgery. He hurt his left ankle in a win against North Carolina last October, causing him to miss a start against Georgia Tech the following week.  Ellington finished last season with 1,178 yards as the Tigers won their first Atlantic Coast Conference title in 20 years.
