A former Hampton County sheriff's deputy was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and one count of Misconduct in Office.
Larry Heyward, 52, is accused of fondling a boy under the age of 16 while he was the child's school resource officer. The arrest warrant says it happened in September 2011.
Heyward was also arrested in January and charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and one count of Misconduct in Office. In that case, between August 2010 and December 2012 he's accused of sexually assaulting a child between 11 and 14 years old and fondling a child under the age of 16.
It is not clear if the children in these cases are the same child or different children.
