A three car wreck sent eight people to the hospital Monday afternoon.

Around 4:50 on US 701 South near the J Reuben Long Detention Center, Christopher Gattis, 24, of Conway crossed into the north bound lane, according to Highway Patrol.

Gattis hit a 2004 Nissan head on in the north bound lane of 701.

Gattis then pulled his vehicle back into the south bound lane and then struck a 2000 Chrysler Minivan pulling out of a private drive.

Eight people were taken to various hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, said Highway Patrol.

Gattis is charged with Driving Under Suspension and Driving Under the Influence.
