A fire in Florence caused smoke damage throughout a home on Garden Hills Drive.

The fire started on Saturday afternoon around 12:30.

Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the home when they arrived, and they quickly put out the fire.

People inside at the time were able to get out safely.

Investigators say the fire was unintentional and appears to have started on top of the stove.

The kitchen has heavy damage.
