A Pawleys Island man was arrested Monday for pointing a gun at two people he got in a car crash with in July.

On July 2, 2012 Myrtle Beach Police responded to the corner of 21st Avenue South and Yaupon Drive in reference to a car crash.

Blake Rasheed Wilkes, 27, and his girlfriend were riding in her car, when another car ran a stop sign and hit them, according to a police report.

The girlfriend told police that after the crash, Wilkes got out of her car with his silver handgun and pointed it at the people in the other car.

The people in the car called police, according to the report.

The girlfriend told police that Wilkes ran away once he heard police were called.

Wilkes is charged with Pointing a Firearm at a Person and Willfully Resisting Arrest.
