The Cincinnati Bengals are going back to the playoffs for a second straight season with a 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh, ending the Steelers playoff hopes. Robert Geathers, Jr., who played high school football at Carvers Bay, made three tackles for Cincinnati. Pittsburgh's Lawrence Timmons, a former standout at Wilson High, led the Steelers defense with 10 tackles and two sacks.

The Carolina Panthers defeated the Oakland Raiders 17-6. Mike Tolbert, who played at Coastal Carolina, had five carries for 28 yards for the Panthers.

Ex-Coastal star Jerome Simpson caught four passes for 32 yards for the Minnesota Vikings in a 23-6 victory over the Houston Texans.

On Friday night, the Atlanta Falcons beat the Detroit Lions 31-18. Former Lamar High star John Abraham had two tackles for the Falcons. Detroit's Justin Durant, who played for Wilson High, had eight tackles.
