UPDATE WITH IDENTITY
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened in Florence County near Francis Marion University Tuesday night.
Melvin Brown, 53, of Lake City man was on a moped traveling east on Highway 76 just after 9:00 p.m., when the car behind him crashed into him, according to the Florence County Coroner's Office.
Highway Patrol's special accident investigation team is looking into the crash to determine if charges will be filed against the driver of the car.
