A man was shot in the leg during a robbery at Alta Surf Apartments about 2:20 p.m. Thursday, according to the victim's father.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
The suspect got about $1,000 and possibly left in a black car, according to the father. A neighbor said the suspect's car looked like a black Chrysler.
The neighbor below the victim is a paramedic and said he worked to control the bleeding from the gunshot wound.
Police say they're not aware of a robbery at this point, but they are searching for the shooter.
