The South Carolina Gamecocks demolished the Georgia Bulldogs 35-7, before a record crowd of 85,199 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Gamecocks busted out with a 21 point first quarter and never trailed. Connor Shaw threw two TD passes and ran for another to lead the way. Shaw completed six of 10 passes for 162 yards. He also ran for 78 yards on 14 carries.

The Gamecocks scored on their first drive. Shaw threw a 20 yard TD pass to Bruce Ellington to make it 7-0 South Carolina. Shaw later hooked up with tight end Rory Anderson on a 14 yard TD strike to make it 14-0. Ace Sanders returned a punt 70 yards to give the Gamecocks a 21-0 lead with 5:18 to play in the first quarter.

In the third quarter, Marcus Lattimore scored on a one yard run to give South Carolina a 28-0 advantage. Lattimore had 24 rushes for 109 yards.

In the fourth quarter, Shaw scored on a 7 yard run to make it 35-0 South Carolina.

Former Darlington High star Victor Hampton had one tackle and two pass break-ups for South Carolina.

The Gamecocks defense held Georgia without a point until 1:55 left in the game. The Bulldogs were held to just 224 total yards, less than half their average per game this season.

South Carolina now has an overall record of 6-0, 4-0 in the Southeastern Conference. The win over Georgia was South Carolina's school-record tenth in a row. It was also the first time the Gamecocks have beaten the Bulldogs three straight times.

Next weekend, South Carolina pays a visit to LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and then a date with Florida in Gainesville on October 20.
