Hartsville native Jordan Lyles reached two big milestones in his young major league career.  The Houston Astros pitcher threw his first complete game, a four hit shutout and hit his first major league homer as the Astros blanked the Milwaukee Brewers 7-0 on Sunday at Miller Park.

In the 5th inning, Lyles launched a 418 blast to left field off of Brewers starter Matt Friers for his first round tripper in the bigs.

Lyles threw 103 pitches and struck out Ryan Braun for his first complete game shutout.  He finished the game with three strikeouts and allowing just four hits and one walk.  The Astros announced that it was Lyles final start of the 2012 season.  He finishes the year with a 5-12 record and a 5.09 ERA.  Lyles, at 21 years old and one of the youngest players in all of MLB, has now made 40 starts in the major leagues.
