Dustin Johnson was one of Davis Love III's four captain's picks to make the US Ryder Cup Team. The former Myrtle Beach resident and Coastal Carolina All-American will make his second career Ryder Cup appearance at Medinah outside of Chicago from September 28th-30th. Johnson was selected along with Brandt Snedeker, Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk.
Johnson was hampered by injuries early in the 2012 season, missing the Masters as a result of a back strain while lifting a jet ski. He made the 2010 Ryder Cup team after finishing in the top 8, going 1-3 in his debut. Due to his injuries, he was not in the top 8 in 2012, but made a strong impression over the last two weeks. Johnson finished tied for third at the Barclays and was tied for fourth at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He is currently 6th in the FedEx Cup playoffs.
