Andre Ellington rushed for 231 yards in Clemson's win over Auburn.
Tahj Boyd hit DeAndre Hopkins on a fourth quarter 4-yard TD pass to put the #14 Clemson Tigers in front for good in a 26-19 win over the Auburn Tigers on Saturday night in Atlanta.
Hopkins set a school record with 13 receptions in a single game. He had 119 yards receiving and the game-winning score. Andre Ellington was a workhorse. He had 26 carries for 231 yards on the ground.
West Florence High product Malliciah Goodman had a sack and a forced fumble and Tig Willard recovered a fumble for the Clemson defense.
Boyd completed 24 of 34 passes for 208 yards and carried the ball 19 times for 58 yards.
Auburn's only touchdown came early in the game when Kiehl Frazier threw a 54-yard TD pass to Emory Blake for a 7-3 lead. Kicker Cody Parkey booted four field goals and eventually gave Auburn a 19-16 lead.
But Clemson clamped down on defense in the final quarter and outscored Auburn 10-3 to close out with a 26-19 victory at the Georgia Dome.
