Former WPDE Mr. Hoop Zone Finalist and Wilson High product Dominique Lacy landed on ESPN's SportsCenter with the #1 play of the night thanks to a thunderous dunk in a Columbia, South Carolina Pro-Am League game.  Lacy played three years at UNC-Wilmington before beginning a professional basketball career overseas.  In 2010-2011, he played for BC Mess in Luxembourg.

Lacy was on the WPDE Hoop Zone podium in 2007 with fellow teammate Sam Muldrow, who went on to a career with the Gamecocks and is playing pro ball in Greece and Cliff Matthews, the 2007 Mr. Hoop Zone winner who currently plays defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL.
