Ramon Sessions has found his new NBA home.  Yahoo Sports and the Charlotte Observer are both reporting that the point guard has agreed to terms to join the Charlotte Bobcats.  Sessions spent the last half of the 2011/12 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, turning down a $4.5 million player option.  He was hoping to sign a long term deal to return to LA, but the Lakers acquired Steve Nash in a sign and trade deal.  Sessions name was linked to the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies, but it's Charlotte who gets the two time WPDE Mister Hoop Zone from Myrtle Beach High.

Here's the AP Story:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A person familiar with the situation says the Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a two-year contract with former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Ramon Sessions.

The person spoke to The Associated Press Thursday on condition of anonymity because the move has not been publically announced.  Financial terms of the deal have not been announced.  Sessions, entering his sixth season, averaged 12.7 points, 6.2 assists and 3.8 points per game last season for the Lakers with 19 starts. He's previously played for Milwaukee, Minnesota and Cleveland and has averaged 11.1 points and 5 assists per game during his career.

The move comes after the Bobcats rescinded their qualifying offer to last year's starting point guard D.J. Augustin earlier in the day. Augustin was Charlotte's ninth overall pick in the 2008 draft.
