The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers beat the Manhattan Jaspers 11-1 at the NCAA Baseball Regional before a crowd of 5,954 at Carolina Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

CCU won the losers bracket game to eliminate Manhattan. Coastal pitcher Tyler Herb pitched a complete game. He needed only 114 pitches and allowed just two hits to pick up his ninth win of the season.

Rich Witten and Alex Buccilli each had sacrifice flies in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and give the Chants a 3-1 lead. Jacob May followed with a three-run homer in the seventh, part of a six run frame, to put the game out of reach.

May went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Witten also drove in three runs. Nine different players pounded out a collective 15 hits for CCU.

The Chanticleers (42-18) advance to play Clemson on Sunday at noon in an elimination game.
