North Myrtle Beach High hosted the 3A Lower State wrestling meet on Saturday with 21 local athletes qualifying for next week's individual 3A state championships in Anderson. The top four finishers in each weight division secured a spot for next week and the chance to compete for a state title. Saint James, who reached the 3A state semifinals in the duals, had six lower state champs and will send eight wrestlers to states next week. Myrtle Beach had five qualifiers, followed by Socastee with four. North Myrtle Beach placed three wrestlers in next week's competition and Hartsville was the lone Pee Dee representative to have a state qualifier.
