COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier and his assistants are getting pay raises, and baseball coach Ray Tanner has another year on his contract.  The school's board of trustees on Friday approved a $425,000 raise for Spurrier, boosting his salary to $3.3 million a year. In addition, the four assistant coaches who remained on Spurrier's staff after the 2011 season all received raises. All eight football assistants will get two-year contracts for the first time in school history.  Tanner received a contract extension after his team won the 2010 College World Series. Friday's decision by the trustees added a year to his contract, which extends his deal with the school through the 2016 season. He also received a $140,000 raise after the Gamecocks won the 2011 title.
