West Florence was sitting a 2-3 on the season and appeared to be in major trouble when their third quarterback went down with an injury.  The Knights were forced to start 14 year old freshman Marquane Goodman at quarterback for the start of a two game road swing and the start of region play.  What happened from there has been truly remarkable.  The youngster guided the Knights to a 17-6 win at Aiken followed by a 20-14 upset at Conway.  Goodman is now 3-0 as a starter after two touchdown runs to beat Sumter 17-0.  West Florence travels to Lugoff-Elgin this week.

Goodman has already won an HTC Game Ball and his go ahead TD run against Sumter was the A&I #1 play of the night for week eight

Marquane Goodman 2011 Stats

18 of 36 passing for 335 yards, 1 TD pass, 2 INT's

37 carries, 179 yards, 3 rushing TD's
