Coastal Carolina is 4-1 and ranked #20 in the FCS coaches poll while Liberty is 3-3 in 2011, but many would consider the Flames the favorite when the Chanticleers travel to Lynchburg, Virginia on Saturday for a 3:30 pm kickoff.   Liberty was able to score 21 points on the ACC's NC State Wolfpack in its opener and the other two losses were both 27-24 to nationally ranked FCS schools James Madison and Lehigh.

The Chants scored a 45-31 win over #11 Liberty in 2010 to spark a run towards sharing the Big South title.  The last time Coastal travelled to Liberty, the Flames dominated CCU in a 58-13 rout.  The Chanticleers and Flames have won or shared the last seven Big South titles which makes Saturday's showdown one of the most anticipated matchups in league play.

"The common fan in our league understands the significance of this game in terms of the standings and for the positioning of the automatic bid," the Liberty head coach said at his weekly press conference.  "Their speed on defense is always a concern.  They have an ability to be disruptive in the backfield and on the ball.  On the other side of the ball, it's the ability to have balance on offense.  Hillary gives them that."
