Horry County surfers take top six spots at Menehuene State Championships
Six surfers from Horry County won the Menehuene State Championship at Folly Beach, South Carolina on Sunday. They beat out more than 40 other competitors in the 11 and under division to take home the state title.
Seth Brown finished first. Tripp Chandler placed second, followed by Logan Bridgers, Grant Davis, Seth Ellis and Hugh Rafferty. This was a big showcase for these young athletes. Folly Beach, located just south of Charleston, is considered one of the top beaches for surfing on the Atlantic Coast.
