Hags Thoughts
The Vikings have won just eight games over the past six seasons. Enter new head coach Kelly Williamson. He knows how to win. Williamson led Dillon Christian to a pair of SCISA titles and will shake things up with a more wide open attack and a more disciplined defense. Williamson will need some time. But I think Latta will get a win or two this season. That's my assessment. Hard but fair.
Rich's Thoughts
I paid a visit to Latta practice and liked what I saw. Offensive lineman Donell Stanley is a rising sophomore who already has an offer from Clemson. He is the best lineman I've seen at his age that I've seen in my twelve years here. That being said, he needs to work hard in the classroom and just as hard on the field and in the weight room. The potential is there for him to be a high profile recruit and maybe even play in the NFL. He's got a great frame and his footwork and speed for a lineman was outstanding. Latta will be better - look for Darius King to run behind Stanley a whole bunch.
