The Wolverines are the flavor of the month with Carlos Hickson at the controls. Even Lamar head coach J.R. Boyd believes EC is the region favorite. Wow. Hey, there's no question they can score points but they have to be able to stop people. They allowed nearly 37 points a game last year. If they buckle down on defense, they should make their first playoff appearance in four years.
Rich's Thoughts
Chris McGill is an X-factor. He played quarterback in 2009. I'm assuming they'll keep Hickson at QB and have to find a place on the field to utilize McGill's talent. The Wolverines have to figure out a way to play better defense. If they do, a region championship isn't out of the question.
