CARVERS BAY
Hags Thoughts
The Bears missed the playoffs for the first time in school history last year. I know head coach Nate Thompson is not happy. Nobody is happy at Carvers Bay. But there's no time to hold a pity party. They start the season with Timberland. If the Bears are hungry after spending last season in hibernation, you can punch their playoff ticket. Defense is king at Carvers Bay. It'll be up to the offense to get them back to the playoffs.
Rich's Thoughts
It took missing the playoffs to realize the success Nate Thompson created in the first ten years of Carvers Bay football. I think the defense is going to be just fine. It always has been and it always will be. We'll learn a lot more about the Bears offense in the first few weeks, but they can always lean on the defense.
