The Bruins will have to come together early after losing a total of fourteen starters on offense and defense combined. New South Florence QB Ethan Grainger does not have to lead the area in passing, but he needs to put enough points on the board for a defense that will also be reloading. Blythewood will be a stiff challenge when they come to Florence on week zero.
Rich’s Thoughts
I got to spend a little time with Ethan Grainger at Zone Media Day. When I asked him to draw up a play on our board, it was obvious that he has a good grasp on the Bruins offense. After watching Tavian Johnson’s 2010 highlights, he’ll be fine stepping into the top receiver role. I’m curious to see if the younger Bruins can step in and fill in the huge shoes. We all know about Grainger stepping in for Griffin, but who can replace All-Zoners like Shannon Rodgers, Jordan Lester and Vincent Johnson. Believe it or not, the Bruins may miss VJ more than Kaleb Griffin.
