When Jordan Lyles left the mound at the Ballpark in Arlington on Tuesday night, he was six outs away from achieving his first major league win.  After pitching seven strong innings against the defending American League champions, Lyles left the game with a 4-3 lead.  But Josh Hamilton launched an 8th inning home run and Mitch Moreland's walkoff blast in the 11th gave the Texas Rangers a 5-4 victory.

Lyles had another impressive line: 7 innings pitched, 7 hits, 3 ER, six strikeouts and just two walks.  He gave up a pair of solo home runs to Michael Young and Nelson Cruz.  In the 7th, he gave up an RBI triple to Endy Chavez, but closed out the inning with his third strikeout in the frame.
