CCU hoops extends win streak to 15

Coastal Carolina beat UNC-Asheville 80-59 on Thursday night in Asheville, North Carolina. CCU extended the nation's fourth longest NCAA division one win streak to 15 and raised their record to 17-2 overall and 8-0 in the Big South Conference.

Anthony Raffa and Desmond Holloway led five Coastal Carolina players in double figures with 18 points each. Chad Gray added 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Chanticleers. Coastal outrebounded UNCA 41-29.

The Chants outscored the Bulldogs 24-9 to close out the game. It marks the ninth time this season that they have held an opponent to under 60 points. CCU also set a new school record for most consecutive conference victories with 12 dating back to last season.

CCU's next game will be on Saturday at Gardner-Webb. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
