Sunday, September 25, 2011  Bill Haas beat Hunter Mahan on the third hole of a sudden death playoff at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, to win the PGA Tour Championship and the Fed-Ex Cup title. Haas, who was raised in Greer, South Carolina, won $1.44 millon for winning the tournament and a $10 million dollar bonus for capturing the PGA's four-tournament playoff series.
