    Sunday, July 17, 2011  Greensboro, North Carolina golfer Scott Harvey won the Carolinas Amateur Championship at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach on Sunday. Harvey rallied on the final day to win by two strokes over three other North Carolina players. His final round of 1-under par 71 was good enough for a four-day total of 7-under par.

    Saturday, July 16, 2011  North Carolina golfers hold down the top six spots on the leaderboard heading to the final round of the 97th Carolinas Amateur Championship at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 22-year old Brock Elder from Randleman, North Carolina, at 7-under par for the tournament, has a one shot lead after shooting a 2-under par 70 in the third round.

South Carolina Gamecocks rising sophomore Logan Harrell returns to defend the 2010 title he won at Pinehurst (NC) Resort's No. 8 course. This year's 4-day event will be at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach July 14-17.
