Voter turnout in North Myrtle Beach was strong today. The big race is for mayor, but there are three council seats up for grabs.

A much nicer day expected after the past few. Plenty of sunshine and a few passing clouds will be around all day as high temperatures climb to around 70. Once the sun sets though it's going to get chilly very quickly. Lows will drop to the mid-low 40s. Clouds will arrive through late afternoon Saturday with highs in the mid 60s.
