ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Orangeburg County officials are trying to determine a cause of death for a man whose body was found in a ditch.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported the man's body was found Friday afternoon.

Coroner Samuetta Marshall said an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death for 47-year-old William Coulter Jr.

Sheriff's deputies and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are assisting in the investigation.
