Horry County Council Chair Republican Primary held in one month

One month from today, March 12, voters in Horry County will head to the polls to cast ballots for the next chairman of the Horry County Council.
There is only a Republican Primary because no Democrats registered.
This is a special election after the previous chair, Tom Rice, resigned to serve as the areas new 7th Congressional Representative in Washington.
Polls will open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Registered voters will be required to show any one of five forms of identification in order to vote: South Carolina driver's license, South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles identification card, voter's registration card with picture, Federal military identification with picture or a United States passport.
The last day to vote absentee for this race is March 11. This is only for voters eligible to vote absentee, South Carolina does not have early voting.
Curbside voting will also available for any voter, because of a physical handicap or aged 65 or older who cannot enter the polling place may vote outside of the polling place in their car.
