RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) - A 65-year-old Irmo man died Wednesday night after a single vehicle collision in Richland County.

Coroner Gary Watts says Ronald P. Woodard was driving a 1992 Ford pickup truck that left the roadway around 10 p.m. Wednesday and struck a utility pole on Koon Road near Coogler Road. 

Woodard was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
