A Columbia man has been arrested after an armed robbery.

Dawan Jamal Thompson, 23, was arrested Monday morning.

On Sunday night around 7:15, Myrtle Beach police were called to Celebrity Circle for an armed robbery.

The victim said he wanted to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 cell phone on Craigslist for $350, according to the Myrtle Beach police report.

When he went to meet the seller from Craigslist in a parking lot at Broadway at the Beach, the victim said the suspect put a gun to his head and grabbed the phone and $350.

Thompson faces an Armed Robbery charge and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
