The St. James Sharks became the first local team to win a tournament game at the 32nd annual Beach Ball Classic. The Sharks defeated the Socastee Braves 60-42 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Saturday. St. James was led by Nehemiah Stafford with 15 points. Will Caswell was Socastee's top scorer with 16. Area teams are now 1-7 at this year's Beach Ball Classic. Myrtle Beach High plays a consolation game on Monday at noon against Christ Presbyterian (TN).
