FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) - Early Sunday afternoon the Florence Fire Department responded to a chimney fire at a home on South Kemp Street. When firefighters arrived heavy smoke was coming from the attic.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but there was smoke and water damage, according to Public Information Officer Ken Carr.

No one was injured.

The fire was accidental and appears to have been caused by a faulty chimney, according to Carr.
