South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly two-car crash in Florence County that killed Lisa Maria McLeod of Alcolu, South Carolina.

The wreck happened at 6:23 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 just south of mile marker 164.

A tractor-trailer was heading southbound on I-95 as a 2003 Hyundai, driven by McLeod, was trying to merge onto the interstate, according to troopers.

McLeod merged onto the interstate and ran into the tractor-trailer, they say. The driver of the trailer was not hurt.

A male passenger in the Hyundai was injured and taken to McLeod Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges are expected to be filed, however an investigation is under way.

All lanes of I-95 are reopened.
