There will be no bench trial Wednesday for State Representative Tracy Edge because he has requested a jury trial involving a traffic incident in September. 

On September 27 just before 4 a.m., Edge was driving North on Ocean Boulevard when he crossed the center line and almost collided with a police officer, according to a police report.

Edge was arrested because his license had been suspended for Failure to Pay a Traffic Ticket.

The jury trial will likely occur in January.
