Miracle Harley, 18, pled guilty in August to Disturbing Schools, Carrying a Weapon onto School Property and Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.

Thursday, Judge Paul Burch sentenced her to five years. She has to serve 85 percent of her time because Assault and Battery is a violent offense.

Harley chased the girl until police say some students managed to wrestle the gun out of her hand.

Harley will not report to prison until January, because she had a baby last week, according to Assistant Solicitor Shipp Daniel.

Until she reports, she'll wear an electronic monitoring device.

"Its an unfortunate and sad situation. But we've got to send a message that its not okay to bring guns to school. It's my duty to protect the community," Daniel said.

Harley faced up to 25 years in prison.
