MULLINS -- The Marion County Sheriff's Office says just after midnight Sunday, deputies responded to a call at a home on Ard Drive near Mullins, where they found Joseph Blake Dozier, 22, shot once in the head.

Chad Nelson Strickland, 23, of Nichols, was arrested and charged with Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime, and Pointing or Presenting a Firearm.

Strickland is being held at the Marion County Detention Center.
