A former Dillon Police officer is on trial for inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl.

Jeffery Gibson was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in 2009.

Police say he was "play-fighting" with the girl when he threw her on the couch and touched her private area.

Gibson's trial is expected to last until Thursday.
