Horry County announced the three finalists for fire chief on Thursday.

The candidates are Butch Womack, fire chief in Easley; James Crawford, Midway Fire and Rescue's assistant chief; and Frederick Crosby, fire and EMS chief in Hanover County, Virginia.

Kenneth Beans has been serving as chief since Garry Alderman stepped down in April.

Horry County hopes to name the new chief within the next two weeks.
